 Greetings Everyone.
We are now coming to the end of our summer and I bet we would all agree that its gone a little too fast. Labor day will be here before we know it and school will start again.
We have re-convened the Parish Council after some time off. It consists of members of various committees and commissions as well as a few parishioners who will serve as independents. Remember that the parish council is mandated by Canon Law and is a
consultive body to the pastor.
Oh, by the way, that's our new bishop, Earl Boyea to the right. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
A date has been set for a parish picnic/pig roast. Its September 21st, a Sunday Afternoon. Check the bulletin for details . We will bless the new truck, and inaugurate our new building and remodelled pavilion at the top of the hill. We'll keep you posted on any more details.
That movie about Padre Pio, Miracle Man was a doozie. If you didn't see it, you can either purchase it or borrow it from our lending library. Speaking of the lending library, many thanks to Donna Marie Lapczynski and her family and other helpers who have continued to add to and improve what we have.
Another department which deserves kudos is our bookstore/gift shop. Shawnie and crew have been doing a great job and its reflected in the increased number of visits and sales. Our goal, of course, is to become more known and used among the community and to hopefully draw more worshippers to our church.
I hope you've noticed the picture in our hallway of our parish territory as taken from the air. It is a compilation of many small images downloaded from Google Earth. It was made by the sister of Annabelle Clinger, along with help from Ronnie Brennan. Canon Law states that the Church is territorial and that every parish has particular boundaries. We are responsible for the spiritual welfare of all Roman Catholics in our area.
Our movie for September is from the Steve Ray series called In the Footprints of God. Its on St Paul and it a little over an hour long. As always its on the Second Saturday after mass. About 5:15 with pizza and popcorn.
Oh by the way, I always wonder if anyone reads this stuff. It's a lot of effort to put this info together and we would sure be happy if it got read, particularly by people outside the parish. So, please do me a favor. If you do read this, and you are outside the parish, would you please drop an e mail to our parish website? Thats

Do this up till November 1st. I'll report back at that time to give you some idea of how we are doing with our efforts to spread the good news via cyberspace.
